Protecting Our Democracy aims to respond to the profound threat rising extremism is posing to our personal freedoms, our institutions and our very ability to create a more fair and just society.
While these threats may seem far off–book bans in Florida, the assault on reproductive rights nationally, the erosion of voting rights, an insurrection at the United States Capitol–we cannot afford to stand by and allow extremism to take hold here.
In New Jersey, we are lucky to have brilliant advocates who, as the great Sheila Oliver would say, Show Up, Stand Up and Speak Up every day in the fight against the extremism threatening our democracy.
Join ACLU-NJ and Protecting Our Democracy for an evening in conversation featuring Protecting Our Democracy Chair Sean M. Spiller and speakers from advocacy organizations in New Jersey who are on the front lines of protecting our democracy.
