A coalition of advocates and organizations are rallying at the State House in Trenton on May 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. to urge lawmakers to pass same-day voter registration (A1966/S247). Allowing voters to register to vote up to and on Election Day helps to combat voter suppression, remove barriers that disproportionately impact voters of color and youth, and expand access to the ballot for all voters. It’s past time for New Jersey to join over twenty states and D.C. that have already passed same-day voter registration and help ensure that all eligible voters who want to register to vote and cast a ballot can do so.
