On May 23, the ACLU of New Jersey will bring together leading experts for a discussion on the impact of abortion restrictions and the future of reproductive health care in New Jersey and across the country.
When the U.S. Supreme Court issued its devastating ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that eliminated federal constitutional protections for abortion rights, it emboldened anti-abortion politicians across the country to strip access to abortion from millions of people. With the rise of abortion restrictions across the country, there is an urgent need to protect individuals who receive, facilitate, or provide legal reproductive health services in the state. This includes mitigating legal risks for providers as well as increasing patient access to abortion care.
This event will be moderated by ACLU-NJ Legal Director Jeanne LoCicero. Panelists include:
