New Jersey Must Champion Immigrants’ Rights
Act Now
Earlier this year, New Jersey took an important step towards building a more fair and welcoming state for all by passing legislation that expanded language access at state agencies, created more inclusive data practices that account for New Jersey’s diverse communities, and established much-needed safeguards for domestic workers long denied even the most basic of labor protections. These laws reaffirm what we already knew – that immigrants help New Jersey thrive and that welcoming and embracing new immigrant families is a core value of our state.
In the face of federal anti-immigrant policy and hateful rhetoric across the nation, it is vital that New Jersey lawmakers take action to keep families together and help them thrive. We must build on our success by ensuring the safety and well-being of all New Jerseyans, regardless of their immigration status.
Urge our state leaders to champion immigrants’ rights and ensure that New Jersey is a fair and welcoming state for all who call it home.
