On the year anniversary of New Jersey's passage of a bill banning new, renewed, or expanded contracts with ICE, the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice (NJAIJ) will be hosting a rally at the Elizabeth Detention Center on Saturday, August 20.
The Elizabeth Detention Center extended its contract with ICE through August 2023 just before the passage of the bill, prolonging ICE's cruelty in the state. We're joining NJAIJ in the fight to free everyone detained by ICE and call on New Jersey to go further and pass the Values Act.
