With each new devastating act of police violence, questions echo through our homes and communities. How do we stop the murder of Black people at the hands of law enforcement? How do we prevent Black people from being arrested, imprisoned, and killed for crimes they didn’t commit? What is being done? And how much longer will it take?
For NJPAC'S next PSEG True Diversity Film Series event, we invite you to watch Just Mercy and join us for a panel conversation. A powerful and thought-provoking true story, this film follows a young lawyer (Michael B. Jordan) and his history-making battle to exonerate a man who has been wrongfully sentenced to death (Jamie Foxx). Our panelists will discuss the issues raised by the film and provide insight into the work happening right now to transform our unjust legal system.
